This is the part where I and religion diverge…. As a believer in christ my lord…. I put 0% faith in a book, we are told to believe is the word of christ, yet the oldest version of the bible (codex sinaiticus written/dating 400ad) is said the be the accurate word of christ…. And that bible (now king james) has over 30 renditions…. Edited by the very pedophiles in the vatican….Yeah, i’ll pass on the stories in the bible
How can tou claim ti believe in Christ yet deny His word? How can you kniw what He said to do or believe or what to reject or accept if you do ‘t believe His wors? How can you say the Bible was retranslated by pedophiles when then Bible quite specifically condemns sexual immorality of all kinds? Have you ever actually read a Bible?
You’ve essentially answered my point… i agree with you that i dont know if the word in the bible is jehosua’s , however, we dont know if it truly is… i believe the words and the message of love thy neighbor and the kingdom of heaven belongs to those who believe is true…. However being that the oldest known new testament dates to only around ~425, how do we know that his words are accurate in the bible, especially as they were passed down generationally as stories, until written out in a book…. And yes, the vatican scholars are in charge of interpretation of the book, and we all know about the vatican and how compromised they are….
First off, the Vatican is catholic and doesn’t speak for everybody. Secondly for the last 2000 yeaes since the Bible was written, it’s the inly book that has been translated to nearly every language un the world without changing it’s meaning, the only book that many countries have tried to bam, eliminate, destroy, burn etc and have not been able to. Without knowung what the Bible says, how will/do you know what God says to do or not do, what He approves or disapproves of, what He commands us to do or that He gives us grace through faith in His son Jesus and forgives us when we repent of sin and that He wamts a personal relationship with each of us?
