I have my own well too. I've considered adding a hand up just after the check-valve for power outages. Hurricanes can do some damage.

My pump is 480’ — we’ve have 4 years of drought and lots of new construction— water wells on my aquifer— a lot of wells went dry last summer but “hopefully “ El Niño will help us out — lived here 30 years and been on earth 70+ and know everything is cyclical ( unless someone is manipulating it to create disaster) - who can really know anymore?!
