LOL!! Don't remember the book. This is too funny nonetheless, a Canadian friend told me some years ago when they had their last CENSUS, that there were some questions in the census about how big their homes were and how many rooms they had in their houses and many other none of their business questions. Its not so strange that their socialist government was asking these invasive questions. I laughed joking about it and told him that when the Democrats run out of room to house illegals here, they were going to send them to Canada and force Canadians to take them in. or seize their homes for the sake of the illegals. Looking back at the broad view of things today, maybe I was not too far off the mark.
Another book by Rand that I really found interesting is "Anthem." The word and concept of "I" had been obliterated in a future dystopian society, and only the word (and concept) of "we" remained. Then one day... one proletariat thinker rediscovers the word "I" and everything changes.
I was trying to remember the name for some time now. And yeah, it seems that it might be vying for a place next to Brave New World and 1984 at this point.
Glad I could help! That’s one of the classic examples of a dystopian book that is such an accurate presentation of the present you get immediately called racist for even mentioning it 😂
Jesus Christ... It's like there's a playbook for tyrants or something. It's like the build up to 1776 all over again what the fuck all the way up to The quartering act what the fuck dude
Dr. Zhivago pick up the white courtesy phone...

Reminds me of Ayn Rand's "We The Living" about living in post-revolutionary Russia.
