look at the history of POWS in Vietnam. Tons of pilots. Now imagine it's women instead of men.... what happens to them?
I would think they understand the risk when they sign up. If they were captured after being shot down, that wouldn't be undermining the ability for anyone else to do their "Job" because she'd already be captured. Also keep in mind fighter jets now are able to evade enemy fire much more successfully then in the Vietnam era.
