Miss Colorado first serving US soldier EVER to be crowned Miss America

A US air force fighter pilot training to be a Top Gun has been crowned Miss America. Madison Marsh, 22, who comes from Fort Smith, Arkansas, won the top award at a ceremony on Sunday night.

She is a hometown darling. My kids went to grade school, jr high and high school with her and her younger sister. Her mother passed away in 2018 from pancreatic cancer and her death was felt across the community. Watching Madison grow up and accomplish what she has and knowing her story just made last night's crowning very special...there wasn't a dry eye in our house. We know Whitney was with her.
