Pope Francis said this week that he believes in hell but likes to think of it as “empty” because of God’s great mercy.

From what I understand, for a mere $500 dollars, you can save your loved one's soul from purgatory, and send them to Heaven. That was in the 70s, I don't know how much it is now.
