I pretty much did the exact same thing although not a nurse. I retired last summer from a govt job. I had Taken 17.5 years off to raise my girls and then went back to work. Only needed up with 22 years of work but it’s still a retirement and I’d do it again for them. Being a mom was the best job I ever had.
