Indeed. Slavery began with a lie.
It was in forgetting our identify as children of the Creator that all the slavery began.
I know this post is about rights and power, but the root of all that is our identity as who we are. In a sense, history is the story of God working and struggling to help his children regain their true identity, because in knowing who we are, we discover our true agency and capacity.
Although some may think that that's all understood, it's an ongoing process. "I have many things to share with you, but you cannot bear them now..."
Anyway, the point is, as your post emphasizes, that the key to agency (aka capacity or power) begins with knowing our (true) selves. The US constitution ushered in by the revolution is the highest watershed in establishing human freedoms and innate rights so far in history.
But as DJT say, "the best is yet to come".
Updoogle.
Thank you. My rights are inalienable. My government’s job is to secure my rights. The original 13 States CREATED the federal government. She lays it out clearly. Our power is our inalienable rights endowed by our creator. Each of the 50 states are nation states just like France or Poland. The Constitution is a contract. It’s not old, it’s not living. It is a contract.
