Well I've seen the army nco leadership in the regular side. I'm very unimpressed. So the leadership courses really don't make a good leader. Just another box to check as a way to pick the next guy.
In Iraq in 130 degree weather I saw the e6 and above lounging 12 hours a day in one air conditioned office inside a hangar. I was navy. There weren5 aircraft mechanics e4 and 5s sitting in the stairs to the office dying of heat stroke and the leadership refused to let them cool down. I was navy, I went and found the Sgt major and told him how pathetic his senior ncos leadership was that they would degrade the health amd energy of rhe guys actually working on the helos. Pointed it out to the pilots too. The Sgt major was good enough to take their lounge away amd restrict it to maintenance crews only. It was pretty sad. Inhad to fly in those birds so I was pissed as hell.
