I've not been banned (yet) but I have been threatened. Censorship is wrong and lazy no matter what the medium. Stupid ideas are easily shot down when free speech is utilized. Anyway, God bless and let's keep the discussion lively and productive.
We don't censor high-quality, high-info posts and comments that are on Q. Period. 99% of our users never get touched or even looked at by a mod. But, as it says in the sidebar, we're a research board. We're here to slice and dice. If a mod finds a casual that's just here comments basically low-effort nothing all the time, absolutely they will send them packing.
We are working with Scored to create a system where commenting is loosely related to post upvotes. You will have to post occasionally (at least a few times a month) to comment here.
