It was a real concept, but as designed the rods would have an explosive equivalent power of a bit over 3 kilotons, or about 20% of the Hiroshima bomb. In other words if anyone used it the result would be a huge explosion and a large crater.
Aren't they supposed to be used for DUMBs? I know a ton of elites with bunkers, rip to them.
