it's simple, get rid of required government licensing for jobs (degrees). allow competition for training for such business (more schools).

it's almost like regulating these industries has driven the cost of things up, taken the quality of them down, and taken away people's freedom to work...

Agreed. All occupation licensing is unconstitutional and violates 1st Amendment free speech corollary “right to contract (speak with) whoever you wish”. Core of free enterprise is free speech.
