We already have no privacy, a while I had a break down in town. I called the cops to let them know I was blocking traffic, the line was busy so I used the callback option so I could organise towing etc. I left no details other than my mobile (I always have the GPS off).
When the cops called back and started off by saying (before I had given ANY identifying info) "we can see you are blocking traffic".
Quite powerful tech to know so quickly, so casually and so precisely where an individual is like that. I say again, there is no privacy already
Even if the GPS is closed location services are probably still on, and you contribute to slow traffic reports on Google maps which shows up as orange or red. If you told them vaguely where you are blocking traffic they can just look at their phone and see the orange/red spots
They only had my number, left on the general Police 10:5 number. How did they know my call was traffic related? I didn't tell them. They zeroed in on my number from having live access to cellphone tower data and pointed a camera at me.

Creepy.
