I stopped watching sports decades ago when I realized it is all bread and circuses. come sunday, all the young folks go to all sorts of bars to watch games and get hammered. no one cares what goes on around them politically or with religion, and all they talk about all week is the sports. as long as they get to watch their game and drink, you can destroy civilization around them and they remain content. it isn't really the sports, it is the prioritizing of sport above all.
