Do we have a database or site out there where people have memes stored? I have many saved, but am curious if anyone has found something like this?
There used to be some decent repos. But they got shut down. As far as i can tell most archivists run their own cold storage these days.
I've been thinking of running a scraper to go through every single post on GA.W and scrape the pic posts and get them somewhere.. i might make a project of it someday soon.. problem is trying to get back to the first posts.. there's no real logical clear way, and the only way i know of would be to scan every user and scan all their posts.
What YUGE effort that would be! If you do, take your vitamins and have lots of covfefe on hand! 💊☕
