Worth remembering that the USA has one of the most redistributive (socialist) tax and spend system in the developed world. Huge sums are taken off wealthy liberal states on both coasts, and are given to poorer conservative states in the middle.

Be careful what you wish for when you complain about governments moving money around, if they stopped conservative america would get a whole lot poorer
