all or nothing. make it so regular people would be able to afford to live their lives, and go after the worst offenders (the affluent) by making the tax exponential in the more of a carbon footprint you leave, the higher the tax. if you value flying in private jets, make it extremely expensive. and maybe they could put that tax money towards funding homeless aid. or the can stfu and not have any carbon tax at all. is that clear enough now?
