My friends Mom died and was only allowed 8 people at the funeral. I was on child watch duty because the 8 were her 3 kids, their spouses, one of her sisters and her husband. A brother was left out, as well as any extended family that wanted to be there. Even fewer were allowed at the graveside service. She passed in April of 2020.
My husband was almost fired from his new job over the mandate. Luckily, they didn't enforce it with the heavy hand they threatened to.
Our business did indeed suffer. We had just switched locations so we had moving costs as well as remodeling costs, all in the midst of a ruse for protecting some political people in an election year.
the only time I said the F word was in church, when it was announced our church was closing for covid. I told my husband "What the F? Do they have more faith in the Government than God here???" We no longer go to that church.
Finally, my kids were only forced to wear a mask in Costco. We got them face shields at dollar store, and they wore them upside down so they could see better, talk and goof off. I always joked that I was going to put M&M's in the face shield (the part that was supposed to be on their forehead was on their chins) and make them eat them without using their hands. Otherwise, we are homeschoolers and never had to be traumatized unless we accepted their demands. We still went where we wanted, and one day we had the whole Urban Air place to ourselves, since they had to limit the kids inside, and it was limited to them and a few of their friends. The whole place was closed, and we had it to ourselves! Stuff like that was pretty awesome.
