No I don’t. I never said that. Those are words that you came up with. There’s a difference between spanking as a result of a a brief correction - than actual abuse. (hitting a child because they won’t stop crying)
There’s only one person who spanked me as a child, that was my grandmother. I had a great deal of respect for her. Quite frankly, I should’ve had a few more spankings. So now I’m not against corporal punishment.
However, if we would like to back to the beginning of why, all of this conversation started….
The meme posted, it’s more supportive abusive behavior.
If you don’t stop, crying, I’ll give you something to cry about.
This is a horrible way to treat a child. Threatening to hit a child, after they’ve already been punished, is cruel and abusive. All it does is teach a child to be afraid of their parents, because if they do cry, they’re going to get hit again. What kind of father or mother would treat a child like that? Someone who’s been abused themselves!
It also teachers a child that it’s not OK to cry. That’s another abusive tactic for a parent to use. Yes people cry, and it’s OK. I’m not talking about screeching, and throwing a tantrum…. But yes, when a child gets in trouble and gets spanked, they’re going to cry. Sometimes they are just crying because they know they did something wrong, and they’re being held accountable. That’s fine that’s what supposed to happen.
Learning how to discipline your children is a very important lesson for parents. The fact that there are so many here that are upset by my words, tells me those people haven’t learned how to do that yet.
There’s a couple great resources for raising kids. One of them is called Growing Kids, God’s Way, and the other is called the One Minute Father. If you’re using either of these methods, you shouldn’t have to spank your kids. However; sometimes it is necessary.
Threatening a child that you’re going to abuse them so they’ll stop crying is the stupidest thing ever. I just picture somebody who wants to get back to drinking their beer and smoking a cigarette.
In other words, shut the fuck up or I’ll hit you again. 🤷♀️
Edit: I retract my reply. Yes - yes I am judgmental. IF somebody is beating their child because they won’t stop crying. Yes I will scream it from the rooftops. Yes, please and thank you. That’s what somebody should do when a child is being abused.
This is obviously a touchy subject for you. I’m sorry if this happened to you because it was wrong. If you’re doing it to somebody, and it bothers you, because I’m pointing it out, then shame on you. YES 👏👏👏
It's not touchy for me. Parents need to full discipline their kids without worrying about people like you looking down their noses at them for doing it.
What's touchy for me is every idiot out there screaming "child abuse" and now we have a whole generation of miscreants as a result.
We tried the "no dear don't do that" it doesn't work... obviously.
What does work? "Don't touch that or you'll pay the consequences"
Better to learn in the home than in the jail cell.
You assume that every parent that spanks their kids is an abuser. You're wrong.

You are very judgmental and have made a mountain out of a molehill.
No, I am not
And I’m merely replying to your comment
God bless you and have a great day
