A report in the Washington Times explains that electric vehicles (EVs) can weigh up to 50 percent more than internal combustion motor vehicles. That extra weight could more easily damage roads, bridges, and parking garages.

That is pretty heavy. Heavier than a shaft drive 1,000cc bike with panniers.
That's with panniers and top box. 110hp 140tq and costs 44 cents to go 20miles/day to work and back. And my electricity comes from a hydro electric dam.
But I wouldn't have an electric car or truck. Junk.

I'd be amazed to find an EV owner that knows how to operate a jack stand.
