My friend who's actually training to be a pastor said that and it made me think lol. My immediate reaction was "ew" but it's an interesting argument I never heard before.

He is incorrect.

When Pharaoh ordered the Hebrew midwives to kill the newborn boys and they disobeyed him, it is written that they "feared God" and God rewarded them for this act.

Defying a Government's order to take an innocent life is "fearing God" and respecting your husband is also "fearing God". Marry a woman who fears God.
