Slave labor could not be prevented.

The reason why they needed blacks. If they had whites work the fields.

A lot of whites would have revolted due to the cheap pay.
If they made whites slaves. They could easy run away and blend in with everyone else.

Since blacks had black skin. It was easier for them to maintain their system.
