And, it would be fun if those "lives" and "trials" they speak of are information relating to their stealing of 2020 election.
So I know you might be inclined to see a supposedly successful intervention BEFORE an incident as inconsistent with the incompetent FBI we have come to expect. But instead of viewing it that way consider it as acting to prevent the State's dirty secrets from getting out and then it sounds exactly like what this FBI does. Suppress Hunter Biden's laptop. Black hole Anthony Weiner's laptop. Sounds consistent to me.
