W Bush at one point declared he would veto and ban any investigating into the tower hits and motivations behind the attackers. And everyone was all 'hmm thats odd.. why wouldn't one of the greatest killings in peacetime not be investigated? and why would the current president oppose that? thats just weird...'
And literally the next day W Bush pounded a table and demanded an investigation into the tower hits and motivations behind the attackers. As though the day previous and his bizarre statements never happened at all. And every single journalist sat in the briefing room and didn't ask a single question about why he did an abrupt 180 degree turn for no reason and pretended like it never happened.
'Fuckery is afoot' was my take from that and that impression has never gone away. Fuckery by politicans and media in complete complicit lockstep like they were the same creature... which of course we now know, they are.
The waco siege of course was much earlier than that, and seeing the fallout from that and agents getting commendations for killing children certainly set the scene for things to come.
9/11 for me also. I started digging into it in 2003, when you could still find decent unadulterated info on the web (before Google search results censorship).
The damage on the outside of the Pentagon never made sense (no damage from the jet wings???). One thing after another started to not make so much sense either. Bush’s reaction to Andrew Card telling him “America is under attack”. It wasn’t a look of surprise or shock. It was a look of knowing that it all had just begun.
And then that fuckface George W has the gall to stand up for illegals and say they are just doing jobs Americans don’t want to do.
