About 2 weeks ago I took my 92 y/o dad who wasn't feeling well to a walk in clinic. They take blood and do the covid test. 20 minutes later she comes in and says he's positive for covid and she wants to diagnose paxlovid. She then asks if he's had his flu shot or covid shot, he says no. She says he needs that too. I then said not today. She looks at me surprised, I tell her I have ivermectin at home. She then says they don't recommend it, I tell her I'm well aware what they say. I'm staring hard at her and willing to go thru a verbal war with her if necessary.
When we got home I gave him ivermectin, then gave him another the next day, and the third day he was fine. I continued the ivermectin for 5 days. I did get whatever he had and did the ivermectin for 5 days with no problems.
Just curious, why didn't you skip the clinic altogether and just start him on ivermectin? Or were you looking for the confirmation of a covid test?
My trust in the medical industry is practically nonexistent, so I am always looking for the point at which a doctor is needed versus just being your own doctor. Thanks.
My dad is 92, at his age it could be anything or nothing, and he wanted to go. I had no clue if it was gonna be covid, I question those tests as it is, and since they claimed it to be covid I knew what my next step would be. My sis, brother, and my mom have passed. All I have left is my dad.

Makes sense. Thank you for responding. Glad everything is turning out OK. 🙂
