Pointless lives, in pointless pursuits, the people of her circle have not contributed anything of value to humanity....with the possible exception of the Guinness beer product.
I've never understood the appeal of the "fashion industry." Being a pragmatist, to me clothing should be a function of the weather, time of year, and fit for the purpose of whatever one is doing.... working, gardening, exercise, cold winter days, or hot summer days. All call for different kinds of apparel. Steel-toed boots or running shoes... thin cotton shirt or flannel or sweater... jeans or shorts... etc.
With the exception of the Social Justice Warriors, I can't imagine a more useless endeavor than the "fashion industry." In the harsh times that are coming, SJWs and fashionistas are going to be about as useful as side-saddle on a boar hog.
