They say it so it actually becomes a form of brainwashing, constantly reinforcing democracy versus constitutional republic. All by design, and the normies don't know the difference between the two.
Exactly this...and this, primarily because most normies have not even been TAUGHT the difference between a Constitutional republic and a democracy in their K-12 years, let alone in the Marxist gaslighting factories masquerading as American "institutes of higher learning."
