This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

Rules for General Chat

Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way

They say in every life a little rain must fall; but yesterday I had a total downpour. My DIL Tiffany missed work last week due to her and baby girl Ninky having Covid. Then she got back to work Tuesday and her grandmother who had to be hospitalized for pneumonia suffered a stroke and now is being taken off of life support. Her grandmothers brother suffered a massive heart attack Tuesday also. Then my phone rang and it was my husband in severe pain calling to ask me to get him something for either Covid or the flu. Then her little boy who had just gotten out of school was crying and running a temp. Then my DIL who was about to leave to go to the hospital called her husband/my son and he said his boss just laid him and another guy off from work due to inflation and other things. Then once I waited for him to get home so I could leave, my son came in sick as a dog and freezing. He probably has the Covid she just had. It was a nightmare.

Once I left, I went straight to Tractor Supply as I am running low of Ivermectin and bought 3 tubes of the Horse paste. Picked up some TheraFlu also for Hubby's aches and pains. Called my son and asked if he'd like a tube of it; in which he said all he wanted was warmth and sleep. Will check on him today after my Doctors appt. And how was your day? Prayers are much needed at this time. Thanks to all my friends who have a soft and kind ear for listening. God bless you all.
