Iodine is great to have for special use. Take it before getting xrays or having any kind of scan, including the airport. Asides from radiation exposure I wouldn't supplement with it on the reg. Use iodized salt and you'll have all the Iodine you need for day to day life.
You know I had forgotten about this. Taking the supplement before and after you’re getting an x-ray or going through an x-ray machine. Thank you for reminding me about that. 👏👏👏
I don't think iodine protects you from radiation such as x-rays. From what I understand, you take it after a nuclear disaster because the fallout includes radioactive iodine. By supplementing iodine, the thyroid gland gets saturated which stops it from absorbing the radioactive isotope.
Yes, that’s what I purchased it for. But I have heard about taking it before having or being exposed to radiation. Interesting thought though and I’m going to do some research on it.

I dunno, I’ve been putting a couple drops in my bottled water everyday for years now, ever since Fukushima.
It’s nascent iodine, different from the topical. I don’t think the topical is ingestible.
So do you just use the orange iodine? I bought a bottle of that as well lol.
