Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said Thursday that the House will likely vote on a bill to reauthorize controversial spy powers next month.

Ummm... maybe not rooting but certainly noting that he's on a short leash. Ukraine aid is still stalled in Congress. Budget bill was a mess but lots of the pork was exposed. You can't tell people you have to show them. I'm guessing this plays out in many ways in this phase of the battle. All is not how it appears.
