Not so sure about this. Just last week the CDC was under fire for exaggerating the number of maternal deaths in changing the way the data was collected to counting the pregnant checkbox, not that the death was pregnancy related. Researched by definition of cause, the number of maternal deaths have remained flat during those same years. https://www.dailysignal.com/2024/03/14/cdc-exaggerated-maternal-death-rates-study-finds/
