I know a lock is the best deterrent but I’m just pissed that I not only lost an expensive stethoscope (can understand that walking away) but even personally bought hemostats and medical scissors have disappeared from my own locker, and even other people’s expensive Danskos that they keep under the changing bench have magically walked away on their own.
I know this isn’t Q related, or any other relation to what this board is about - I’m just asking for opinions from those who might have insight.
I’ll understand if this post is deleted, but there is a wealth of folks with knowledge in HR and such here I just thought I’d throw it out.
I don’t think I would rat them out, but if maybe they thought I would they would just go work somewhere else?
😬
I would do it as long as it is hidden. This way no one will know you recorded them and you will find the culprit. Then you can confront them and tell them you know what they have been doing and you have proof/witness that knows they are the one stealing. See if that stops the thievery. If not, then either I would go to HR and explain the situation. Ask HR if it is okay and if they say yes, come out with your recording, if they say no, take the camera home. But either way, if you don't get caught with the camera, you have the proof you need to know who is doing it. PLUS....don't they have locks on those lockers? Perhaps try changing lockers.
It is in the locker room aka people change their clothes there. No it would be illegal.
Not if she is putting it inside her LOCKER so she can catch a pic of their face. That is all she needs for HER to know who is stealing her things. Then she can remove it without anyone knowing, take it home, and tell the thief that she knows they are the ones stealing and that she will turn them in. They need not know how she knows; just that she knows. Then if I were her, I would change lockers and/or put a key lock on my locker.
Glue a mouse trap on the back of an empty box for an expensive item. Who needs a picture when the thief is hollering down the hall.
Ah! Great Idea. Thanks
