Because saying "LGBTQ+ people are good parents" could be misconstrued as saying that ALL LGBTQ+ are good parents. Which isn't true. And I was trying to avoid a silly argument when, inevitably, someone would have jumped in saying that not all LGBTQ+ people are good parents, because they knew a gay person who was a horrible parent or some such nonsense. Which obviously failed, because here I am having this silly argument. 🤷‍♀️
