The destruction of religion through infiltration, and subversion of the holy word.
What would happen to organized religion if they came out with a "proven" theory that modern humans are a created species? That aliens genetically engineered our kind to use as slaves. What would happen to belief in the divine creation of mankind?
I think you are correct they are going to come out with evidence (real or fabricated) that man created religions based off oral history of Alien beings that they had no understanding of - so they worshipped them.
It would be as mind blowing for some - just as evidence of the kiddy diddlers amongst our celebrities and elites.
