I just keep it to the right at 75 mph, and have radar cruise that sets me up 5 car lengths behind the person in front of me, and will slow me down before going over that distance. This has saved me many times, from sudden traffic stops to jackasses who like to cut people off and then drive slowly (which totally confuses those who want you to pull up on their ass- "Why aren't my brake checks working?!?"). I only pass if I come up on a semi or someone doing below 70 up to 73 mph, and will wait until the fast lane is clear some distance back before doing so. If someone decides to take their miserable NPC life out on me and start playing games in front of me, I just pull off to the shoulder and let them disappear down the road. I always de-escalate, which totally baffles the thimble dicks and ape-brained idiots who like to start things.

After years of long distance driving to work, I have learned infinite patience and skills on how to avoid the Fast and Furious wannabe NPCs out there. Essentially, I just don't have the desire to entertain stupid low -IQ human behavior anymore.
