My state will have the National Guard out to "help" with the expected crowds, highway traffic etc. Closing back roads, which is wise because they are all unpaved and mud season is serious,, cannot handle too much traffic. I have never seen such a fuss, and deploying NG in a non emergency and telling people to stock up on food and water. I intend to sit right in my dooryard to observe it, no crowds, no post modern pagan hippies drumming circles, I will watch God's wonder and expect some curious happenings on the ground.
The April 8th eclipse might have more than hype for all of us!

I know it will get dark for a few minutes but can’t they just recommend people to use their lights?
