Asserting your right not to answer questions isn't lying to anyone, nor is it "abusive". Your rights, use them or lose them. They do come from God, after all.
But why refuse to answer questions if you were speeding? That's all I'm trying to say. 1 Peter 2:13-15 does say we have a duty to obey authority is all. I know many are distrustful of authority for rightful reasons. All I'm saying is be honest; if you were speeding you were speeding. If you stole you stole; this is a circular argument and judging by responses on here I don't think I'm going to get anywhere with anyone. It all comes down to whether your trust most officers or don't.
