Do I do all those things? You sure seem to know me pretty damn well.
A declawed cat can't scratch your furniture, but it also can't climb a tree to escape a predator (an unfriendly dog/cat/person, or an actual predator if you live in a more rural area). It can, however, still jump a fence, so it's not going to just stay in the fenced backyard and play with the family dogs. And without claws it also won't be able to effectively defend itself against anything hostile.
And while I also enjoyed all your cute little analogies (accusations?), a much better analogy for ripping out a cat's claws and chemically killing the roots would be doing the same thing to all 10 of your fingernails.
If a person is so worried about a cat scratching the furniture or the grandchildren, the responsible thing to do would be to get a different kind of pet instead of mutilating a cat to make it better meet your needs. Again, just my opinion.
