But seeing Richard Ramirez' face reminded me, with feeling, of how it was to live, literally, in his region of predation and to have to make sure that house windows could not be opened from outside. So relieved when he was caught. A little hypersensitive about it all because only a few years earlier a victim of the Hillside Stranglers was dumped in the ivy in front of my friend's house and the same day one of the two killers eyeballed and followed my son because had been right there only moments after the dumping. I think it was the one named Tony LaBianco. Driving a station wagon. Oh my yes Los Angeles area was just peachy.
Jinx, know exactly how you feel. I was 12 when The Hillside Strangler was dumping bodies in my town of La Crescenta. My Girl Scout Leader and all of our Mom's forbid us to NEVER go anywhere by ourselves, to the point of brainwashing and fear. All of the basic security measures were constantly being told. These are of course things that we should have been told. But it was scary. I'm 60 years old now and I still have an "overly cautious" attitude.
I didn't see your reply to my hillside strangler stuff til today. I am exceedingly stupid at keeping track of responses. Are you still in La Crescenta? I loved that area from my early years. I grew up in La Canada after coming back to the mainland from then Hawaii territory. Good God I'm old.
All tha business about Night Stalker and Hillside Strangler did teach me about distrust in the extreme.
I was raised in La Crescenta until I got married at 19. Married a man that also grew up there. We just returned to Montrose for our 43rd CVHS reunion. It was a blast to visit with our old pals.
I think we are both old if we remember the Hillside Strangler haha
We still love in SoCal but now we are in the mountains
Looking at the guys' faces remind me of the movie Devil's Advocate.. those are satan's face behind human mask. Idk why Hillary was picked though.. she's more of a basement goblin face
We know it's her.
