The Talmud was written in Babylon---hence the Babylon Talmud. The Rabbis had to come up with something after rejecting Jesus as the Messiah. The Torah and the Books of Moses in Gen 40:10 said "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be". This presented a big problem to the Jews. When the Jews were not able to carry out capitol punishment as ordered by the Roman government, the Rabbis rent their clothes because they thought God's Holy Word had been broken. What they did not know was that in Nazarath, in a carpenter's shop was a young boy named Jesus. But I digress, the Rabbis thinking the scripture had been broken, wrote the Talmud. It is as false as the book of Islam.
