Any good liar knows that 95+ of what they tell should be verifiable truth. This sets a firm foundation for the phrasing, implied information, or blatant lie to build on. If facts a, b, c, d and e are all known to be true; then fact "f" can be manipulated with great care; so that the result is a believable fabrication.
