Sorry Judge, but New York doesn't have the authority to nullify one of the US Constitution's amendments. Even if they think they do.
To be fair, that's the way federalism should work, but doesn't due to the commerce clause. If it worked the way this judge thinks it should, then the federal government shouldn't be suing Idaho, just as one of many examples, for banning feticide in the state. But they are. They can't have it both ways: either all states renounce their sovereignty to the federal government (as it is now), or they can govern themselves.
Then he won't mind if his security detail isn't armed.
Does it also apply to the criminals?
