The way i see it is the white hats needed someone well known, rich, honest, not part of the cabal, and being loud not caring what he or she says offends a person. With that criteria, name someone that could have been an alternative? The white hats could have picked trump back in the 90's and told him to be honest or he is dropped and replaced. Or, he just had big aspirations for the future of his namesake. Call it, fate, divine, who you know, etc. But trump is the spokesperson for the white hats who can not expose themselves.
