Holy Father, what does being true to oneself means? My mildy autistic persona easily is exasperated by what most others consider unsignificant, which includes unwelcome smells, noises or whatever could disturb my train of thoughts. Being true to myself should be to acknowledge these things, but not explicitely share them as besides who I think I am, there is my role which is to stabilize situations and make people feel comfortable. That kinda sounds obvious that someone who dislikes chaos looks for harmony, should he get the means to achieve it. Every time we communicate You inspire ways to make peace with both myself and the world. This peace is the truth I owe to myself.

Today we celebrate Franca Visalta.

Born in Piacenza, Italy, she became a Benedictine nun in St Syrus Convent at the age of seven and became abbess at a young age. However, she was removed and isolated because of the severe austerities she imposed. Only one nun, Carentia, agreed with Franca's discipline and she moved to a Cistercian convent in Rapallo. Franca then persuaded her parents to build a Cistercian house in Montelana where she and Carentia both entered. Franca became abbess and maintained the strict austerities on herself, even when her health was failing, and spent most nights praying for several hours in chapel. She later moved the Cistercian community to Pittoli, where she died in 1218. Franca was canonised by Pope Gregory X.
