Rush Limbaugh repeatedly stated that we would not get rid of abortion until we change the hearts of the American people. The election that legalized abortion and put it in the Ohio Constitution last year is an example, although I feel Dominion played a role in the outcome of that election.
I have a friend lives in Ohio - told me the option was the extreme abortion law or no abortion at all, and "to protect her daughter" voted for it even though she doesn't agree with how far it goes. I'm not clear on how it came about but my impression was the GOP allowed extremist to write the law and put it on the ballot rather than write a moderate law themselves.

You are correct on that. The advertising in the state was also extremely one-sided in favor of abortion.
I personally would still have voted against it - but that's me.
