I don't like this at all. Who is Gov. Abbott to decide what speech is illegal, and what is not. It is not a crime to hate, or use hateful speech.
Is it illegal to be anti-Semitic?
In Texas, yes.
Go after those who fund violent protest.
The 5th circuit ct. of appeals already ruled that, at least in Miss, La, and Tx organizers can be held liable when it ruled in McKesson v. Doe.
Fifth Circuit found that DeRay Mckesson, who organized a Black Lives Matter protest, could be liable for an officer's injury even though Mckesson did not injure the officer directly. During that protest, a still-unidentified protestor threw a hard object that hit a police officer in the Baton Rouge Police Department in the head, causing severe injury.
Mckesson did not throw the item, but the police officer sought to hold Mckesson accountable in a civil court under various legal theories, one of which was negligence. The officer alleged that Mckesson "knew or should have known" that violence could occur at the event.
This was appealed to SCOTUS but court denied cert.
Agreed. This is something that a Soros funded front organization would absolutely do. Following the money will tell us who in fact is behind these protests.
