Suspect killed by SPD at Seattle hotel identified as retired Navy doctor

The suspect gunned down by police in a Southcenter hotel has been identified as retired Navy doctor Bruce Coval Meneley.

There’s an ordinary naval hospital at the ordinary naval base that’s been at Guantanamo bay for the best part of a century before we opened the unrelated post-9/11 detention facility there…. And that’s what he commanded, for a standard two-year tour 2007-2009.

There’s nothing even slightly surprising about an navy doctor with his time in grade having done a two-year tour commanding a base hospital, so this Guantanamo connection is likely just a big nothing.

If he was diddiling kids as a retired Navy Doctor then he was diddling kids when he was active duty….IMHO

Sure, no argument there. But “head doctor at GITMO” is still a really bad take on this, and that’s why the GITMO part isn’t on the national news. Everything else, especially the kid-diddling is all over the national news.
