Worse… they outsourced the creation of US money to private bankers. So they now borrow (at much higher rates) to pay off the old debt that is coming due. If they simply controlled the money supply (as they should under the constitution) they wouldn’t be taking on debt or paying interest, they would just be devaluing the dollar.
Related funfact: the bankers then use this wealth (generated from the interest the US government pays them to print and loan US money) to lobby the government and buy up the media, tech, banks, and controlling shares of most of the S&P500. All of these companies then work with the government against the citizens.
