In reading Martin Luther, it hit me. The Jews were known to be scumbags throughout history.
“There is an ancient and long-standing charge of Jewish misanthropy, or hatred of mankind. One of the most famous instances was that of the Roman historian Tacitus, who wrote in his Annals (circa 110 AD) of the Jews’ “hatred of the human race” (odio humanitarian generis; XV).
109 countries.
Charlie Kirk made a great point in that he wants to save the land of Israel from Muslim takeover so he could visit Jesus’ birthplace and historical Christian sites. And that made sense to me. If the Muslims takeover, then they would likely destroy or ban us from ever visiting.
What if Trump knows the Israelis and Jewish people are the bad guys and is restoring Israel to the …. Christians. Putin and Russia may be planning with him. Some sort of political pincher move that gains critical mass and finally exposes them forever?
Before this comment becomes illegal, just read the Old Testament from Moses to Malachi. There is story after story where they reject God and His Law and have to pay the price for it. Then in the New Testament, they reject Jesus despite the miracles and prophecies fulfilled. I’m not going to resort to calling them Christ killers because it was part of God’s plan from the beginning to have Jesus die for our sins.
Nobody ever asks, "Chosen for what?".
Examples come in both types.
Jews were chosen to bring Jesus Christ to the world. No where in the Bible, and I have read it cover to cover a dozen times, were they favored by God above other people groups except for this purpose.
Yes , yes they were. But never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity.
"And thou Bethlehem Ephrathah art little to be among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me, that shall be the ruler in Israel: whose goings forth have been from the beginning and from everlasting. --Micah 5:2 --1599 Geneva Bible
Jesus is King. But they rejected him. Books of John makes it plain. The covenant of sin and death is over these people. The blessings of Abraham and salvation belong to Jesus believers. That's made so plain in scripture. No man can justify what God has cursed. They chose the curse of death and rejected Jesus.
Any of them rejected their own messiah too. Thebold testament being the history of the Christ line it got close more than a few times to being stopped by satan.
The Gospel clearly states in Acts that they killed Jesus. God doesn't lie.
Jesus went to the cross willingly. No people group can take responsibility above God’s will. God used the Pharisees as a group and Judas Iscariot as a person to be instruments of Christ sacrifice for our sins. God could have achieved this using other people. Also, the Pharisees are not representative of the entire Jewish race and the entire Jewish race should not be condemned for the actions of one group. This is no different than the current trend to blame white people for everything. Also, the next time you write the book of Acts says, quote chapter and verse. Finally, don’t forget that the first generation of apostles, who spread Christianity from Spain to India in the first century were all Jewish.
Matthew 16:1 17:13 Jesus knew the jews were killer and would kill him. Acts 3 makes it plain. The jew covenant ended when the veil was torn from top to bottom. Jesus fulfilled His Father's commandments as the Father's sacrifice for sin for all men. Therefore the so called jew is chasing sin and death There is no more jew or Gentile in Christ Jesus. The apostles didn't preach anything until they received the Holy Ghost per Jesus's instructions. This means that they were Christians and not jew. Jews don't have access to Holy Ghost or blessings of any kind. jews and their Roman stooges are cursed and will receive their reward. Don't see how you missed that if you read the Bible This is basic Sunday school stuff.
My problem is your conclusion. The Jews and Romans of that time are cursed, but not their descendants. God’s law doesn’t have the children pay for the sins of the parents. https://www.bible.com/bible/59/ezk.18.20. The sins of about 2000 years ago doesn’t apply to peoples today. People will be judged by their own sins and rejection of Jesus during their lifetime.
HIS asked if he could avoid and accomplish his Father's mission. Logic indicates unwilling. He didn't run up to the Cross. He was hung and stabbed upon it. They whipped and did all manner of evil against a man that kept all the laws of God even tho they never did. They chose to free a murderer instead of Christ Jesus. They chose to be cursed. How do you claim to be on GOD'S side when you celebrate and shill for his Son's murderers? Makes no sense.
You have a misunderstanding of the context of scripture. Yes, Jesus made that prayer and sweated blood before or during it. But by the end of the prayer, he accepted the torture and death that was to come. Also, throughout the Bible, God uses evil people to advance his plans. However, God’s plan would advance with or without them. The book of Esther gives the best example of this. Finally, I am now seeing a lot of anti-Jewish hate on this site and blaming today’s Jews for the death of our Lord is one of them.
