Ukraine is losing 1,000 casualties per day + likely 2,000 severely wounded soldiers per day. Every month, Ukraine is losing another 30,000 soldiers killed, and 60,000 soldiers severely wounded.
Releasing prisoners and "training" them before sending to the front lines is just adding more meat to the slaughter house. The armed prisoners will likely be a greater danger to Ukraine forces than they are to Russian forces.
I think John Belushi, in Animal House, said it all;
"I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part!"
Russian Missiles and Drones Pound Ukraine’s Power Plants in Heaviest Strike in Weeks – More Than Half of Kiev’s Energy Infrastructure Has Been Destroyed
On the ground, Russian Federation forces keep advancing – just this week, they took control of the settlements of Soloviove and Kislovka in Donetsk region and Kotliarivka and Novokalinovo further north in the Kharkov region.
In the meantime, Ukraine keeps getting pounded by artillery and airstrikes, with the attacks lately focusing on power plants.
Overnight, Russia launched no less than 55 missiles and 21 Geranium (Shahed) drones, the Ukrainian air force said.
Associated Press reported:
“Russia pummeled Ukraine’s energy infrastructure during the ‘blackout winter’ of 2022-23. In March, it launched a new wave of attacks, one of which completely destroyed the Trypilska power plant near Kyiv, one of the country’s biggest.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has framed the attacks as retaliation for Ukrainian long-range strikes on Russian oil refineries. On Wednesday, a Ukrainian attack hit an oil terminal, injuring five workers and starting a fire, Russia-appointed authorities in the partially occupied Luhansk region said.”
Does Ukraine actually think the prisoners will fight for their captors? Now, that's a special kind of stupid.
They are showing their special kind of stupid every day and every way

They might end up wanting more money cause this losing is expensive...
LOL this will be extra fun to watch. They will kill their commanders and leave.
So all the honest people are dead and gone. May as well kill off the convicts.
